About Challenges
Challenges are small, clearly defined tasks that any volunteer can pick up and complete. They range from translating a page into your own language to making a kick-ass video for the project. Below are the Challenges that are currently active or in progress. Want to join a Challenge that is in progress? You can! Just accept the Challenge and write that you want to join in. The Challenge Coordinator will let you know if it is possible.
Graphics design

Design a T-shirt for crew members and passengers
We are looking for talented designers that want to create a beautiful T-shirt design that people would wear any day, not just during the event. Because carrying out the message of the project should not stop after the event!

Create an illustrated version of the route for use on flyers and documents
The interactive Google Map on our website is really cool, but not very practical on flyers and other printed documents. We are looking for illustrators and graphic designers that want to turn the Google Map into a vector illustration that fits our style and shows the route in a decorative and informative way.

Promotion and awareness for the project around Europe is everything: only with a lot of attention we can reach our goals! We would love it if a magazine, blog or newspaper in your country writes an article about The Unity Express. And you can make that happen, together with our ready made texts.

Translate the Project Leaflet texts
Help us make the project and website multilingual! Our first priority is to cover the 6 biggest languages in Europe besides English, but in the future we can add other languages as well. This challenge is all about translating the most important project documents (like promotion material) into these languages.

Video production

Create a new promotion video for The Unity Express to use on our website and other places on the web
Videos have always worked great to explain a particular project or concept. We have a great animated video made by Kees Plattel, but it’s time for an update. At least in terms of voice-over, but we would like to see video producers and creative people have a completely new go at explaining the project.
